Let's Start With Me!
In October of 2009 I was sick and tired of my weight, I am 5' 3" tall and I weighed in at 219 lbs. I was planning on getting married in November of that same year. I knew I wouldn't lose alot of weight by that time, but I wanted to get started anyways. By the time I got married on November 28th, I had lost about 15 or so pounds, which with as over weight as I was that really didn't show up much. I kept at it with my diet changes, I cut out all soft drinks and only drank water, ate fresh "raw" fruits and vegetables, I cut out all fast foods, sugars, white flour, most salt, fried foods and sweets. I did not exercise much, I occasionally walked, but not alot, by July or maybe it was August of 2010 I had lost 75 lbs.
I was SO excited and people really did notice, they called my skinny and such, even though I was still 150 lbs. still to much for my small framed body. I was encouraged and determined to lose those last 30 lbs. BUT then came the holidays...Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Years. I LOVE to cook and bake and one of my biggest weaknesses is peanut-butter cups and boy I sure can make some pretty good homemade FATTENING, HIGH CALORIE ones. Needless to say I kinda ate ALOT of them during the holidays and then kinda starting back eating poorly again. Slowly mind you, not in excess...at first! Then I went back FULLY to my bad eating habits, eating chips and dips, sweets, white flour, pizza, fast foods, and Diet Sundrop {Just because it says "diet" or "sugar free" does not mean it is good for you or can "help" you along!} Also my portion size increased again, instead of 1 helping I went back to 2 or 3 or just made 1 HUGE size.
Well guess what? As the Bible says...you reap what you sow. That includes ALL aspects of life, including your eating habits, good or bad. In 5 months I had put on 40 lbs. of that 75 I had lost. So here I am having to now lose 70 lbs. instead of just 30. And not to mention since I have put this weight on, my blood pressure has gotten to Hypertension Stage 2. NOT GOOD AT ALL!!!
I am now trying to lower my blood pressure on my own by eliminating ALL salt from my diet. I am cutting out "most" sugar and white flour and ALL soft drinks again. I can tell too when I have had to much sodium in my diet, because I get these awful migraines when I do. And I use NO salt, that is just from foods that I eat that already has alot of sodium in it. I read all labels and if it has 3 digits of sodium in it, then I do not eat it. Period! I am about to start exercising using the "Supreme 90 Day" system. I am determined to lower my blood pressure and lose this weight once and for all and then KEEP my good eating habits and exercise for life.
My birthday is in July, I will be 46 {2011} and I want to lose the 40 lbs. I put back on, by then, plus the remaining 30-35 I "wanted" to lose the first time! I want to be in better shape at 46, then I have EVER been in my life! With changing back to my good eating habits and including exercise into my routine I WILL accomplish my goal of getting fit and healthier. I will post as I go along on my weight loss Blog, so come along and join me for a newer healthier life!

It is now August 25, 2012
I weigh in at 154, although I have lost 65 lbs. I still have 30-35 more lbs. to lose. I got a bit side tracked for awhile, alot has been going on at our home. We moved {twice now} and then my husband got hurt and has been out of work for 4 months, I had to get a job at a burger joint. Which was NOT good at all, I ate greasy fries, burgers and so on! I had put on a few pounds again and have become a bit sluggish and my migraines are worse than ever.
But I have since quit that grease pit job and I am about to start working as "housekeeping" at a major hotel next week. I am also about to start taking some classes! I am taking Fitness and Nutrition and in 6 months I will have my diploma as a "Certified Personal Trainer", I will lose the weight and get in shape "as" I am taking the classes. By the time I get my diploma I will, {Lord willing} be in the best shape of my life!!! And then have a diploma and the knowledge to help others through their journey to boot!
Follow along as I go through this challenge and great opportunity in my life. If all works out the way I plan and pray I will be either working at a health club or even trying to open one of my own by this time next year, in 2013. I am also leaning towards maybe being a personal trainer for clients in their own homes, which would cut down on my expenses for a building for a gym. I will know more as I go along and get closer to getting my degree. I will post more as I go along, I hope to encourage others and be an inspiration too.
